Magical Matrimony: Creating the Ultimate Harry Potter Themed Wedding for Tom Holland and Zendaya

A Harry Potter-themed wedding for Tom Holland and Zendaya would be a fun, magical, and whimsical affair, blending their personalities with the enchantment of the wizarding world. They are both huge fans of the Wizarding World and both of them were sorted into Gryffindor House. So for fun we thought we would bring these wedding ideas to life. Here’s how their special day might unfold:

1. Venue

Achnagairn Castle – It is a beautiful Estate where they and their guests could all stay together.  It is in Inverness, Scotland. They have a beautiful ballroom that is reminiscent of Hogwarts with the stone and wood beams.

*There are 24 individually decorated rooms in the castle and other rooms on the estate grounds – so room for 143 guests on the estate

*It’s a beautiful estate with fun things to do – archery, whiskey tasting and even a helicopter tour of Loch Ness

2. Invitations and Welcome Gifts

The invitations would be charmingly magical, designed to resemble Hogwarts acceptance letters. They could be sent with a wax seal featuring a custom emblem, perhaps combining elements from Tom and Zendaya’s personalities. The letters could be written in a font resembling the parchment of Harry’s Maurader's Map.

The Welcome Gifts for their guests would be a lot of fun to put together. It would be fun to give them a Hogwarts chest with the following inside: A bottle of Champagne with a special potions label, Champagne Flutes with the Hogwarts Crest, An Ollivander's Wand, Chocolate Frogs, Bertie Bott's Every Flavor Beans, a little stuffed white owl and a banner for the house that your guests belong to.

3. Attire

Zendaya, with her impeccable sense of style, would likely wear a couture gown that incorporates Harry Potter elements in a subtle and elegant way. She might choose a gown inspired by the flowing robes of a Hogwarts student or Fleur's Wedding Dress. The gown could include magical touches like glimmering  gold embroidery resembling intricate lace designs that hint at a Phoenix feather. Whatever she wears, it will be beautiful!

Tom might wear a classic tuxedo with a white tie, like for the Yule Ball, possibly sporting a pocket square in Gryffindor red and gold, since he and Zendaya are Gryffindors. 

4. Ceremony

The ceremony would have an air of magical wonder. The aisle could be lined with floating candles (a nod to the enchanted floating candles in the Great Hall), and a backdrop of the Mirror of Erised, where you see the thing you want most, what a sweet sentiment to start their marriage with.

Zendaya might walk down the aisle to a whimsical instrumental version of Hedwig's Theme or a magical melody from the Harry Potter films. As the ceremony unfolds, they could incorporate spells into their vows, perhaps with a flick of a wand to signify the union—“Expecto Amore” (summoning love). They could make the Unbreakable Vows with lighted ropes wrapped around their arms.

5. Guests

Guests would likely be dressed to the nines, but with a fun twist: some could wear Hogwarts robes to represent their houses, while others may have a more formal yet magical attire with subtle details like enchanted pins, wizarding house colors, or jewelry resembling magical creatures. There could also be a few celebrity guests dressed as beloved characters from the series.

6. Reception

For the reception, the venue could be transformed into a Great Hall scene, with long tables filled with floating golden plates and goblets, as well as glowing lanterns hanging from the ceiling. The decorations could include house banners hanging from the walls, enchanted portraits (perhaps of their loved ones or their favorite Harry Potter characters), and magical creatures like owls perched on posts around the venue.

The food might include traditional wizarding fare like butterbeer, pumpkin pasties, chocolate frogs, treacle tarts, and every flavor beans. For the cake, it could be a towering creation resembling a Sorting Hat or adorned with a Marauder's Map theme.

7. Entertainment

The entertainment could be truly magical, with live performances from wizarding musicians, like the Arctic Monkey (Tom's favorite band). They could also have DJ Snape play some wonderful music. They might have a wizard duel competition or a Quidditch game with guests playing on broomsticks (perhaps virtually if they don’t have the flying magic).

Additionally, they could have a photo booth with magical props like a Time-Turner or an Invisibility Cloak. They could use the wands they received in their Welcome Bag for some nice pictures too. Tom and Zendaya could also share their first dance to the romantic theme of “A Window to the Past” from the Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban soundtrack.

8. Special Touches

To add an extra magical touch, Tom and Zendaya could have a Patronus reveal moment, where their Patronus charms are a wandering hologram during a romantic slow dance.

For a unique twist, Zendaya might give Tom a custom wand as a wedding gift, symbolizing his own magical strength and connection to her, much like the connection between Harry and his wand.
